SKEP AI the future.
01 — Privacy

Privacy policy.

Short, because there is not much to say. SKEP is a consultancy, not an advertising business.

This policy explains how SKEP handles personal information, and it is written to meet the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

What is collected

  • The contact details and message content you send when you email or book a conversation — your name, your email address, and whatever you choose to tell us about your business.
  • Information you share during an engagement, which is held only for as long as the engagement needs it.

That is the whole list. This website runs no analytics, so there is nothing counting your visit — no cookies, no tracking pixels, no advertising tags, and no third party watching on SKEP's behalf. There is no account to create and no newsletter to join, and payment details are never collected through this site.

Why it is collected

To reply to your enquiry, to carry out work you have engaged SKEP to do, and to keep the business records required by law. Your information is never sold, rented, or shared for marketing — by anyone, at any price.

Where it is held

Enquiries live in SKEP's business email and, once an engagement begins, in the systems agreed with you for that work. Some of these services store data on servers outside New Zealand; where that is the case, they are chosen on business terms that require comparable protection to the Privacy Act.

During an engagement, your business's own data stays in your accounts and your tenancy. SKEP works inside the access you grant and holds no separate copy beyond what the work requires.

How long it is kept

Enquiries that do not become engagements are kept while there is a reason to (a conversation that might resume), and deleted on request at any time. Records of completed engagements are kept for seven years, which is the period New Zealand tax and company law requires.

Your rights

You may ask for a copy of the personal information SKEP holds about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted where there is no legal reason to keep it. Requests are answered within 20 working days, as the Act requires, and there is no charge.

Contact

For anything on this page, including a request or a complaint, email morgan.suckling@skep.co.nz. If you are not satisfied with the response, you can raise it with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
